Day 1: Arrive at Kualanamu Airport - The Caldera Nomadic Escape - Parapat
Welcome to Medan, Horas and Mejuah-juah! Upon arrival at Kualanamu International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative. We will then proceed to Parapat via Pematang Siantar. Pematang Siantar is a small city of the Simalungun Batak tribe. You will have the opportunity to taste local delicacies such as Ting-ting and Teng-teng. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After that, we will continue our journey to Sibisa to visit The Kaldera Toba Nomadic Escape, a nomadic tourism attraction located in the Sibisa area. Take this opportunity to capture your most beautiful moments with the breathtaking view of Lake Toba in the background. Then, we will head to Parapat. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. Check in to the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 2: Parapat - Samosir Island - Ambarita Village - Tomok Village - Sipiso Piso Waterfall - Berastagi
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Today, we will take a ferry to Samosir Island, located in the middle of Lake Toba. Upon arrival, we will visit Ambarita Village to see the stone execution chairs made by King Siallagan in the past. You can also join in the traditional dance, Menortor, with the Sigale-gale statue. Next, we will head to Tomok Village to visit the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar, which has been around for hundreds of years, and see the ancient stone tombstones of King Sidabutar. We will then cross back to Parapat. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After that, we will visit Sipiso Piso Waterfall. Then, we will continue our journey to Berastagi. Upon arrival, we will visit the Fruit Market, known for its vast variety of fruits and vegetables grown by the Karo Farmers. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. Check in to the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 3: Berastagi - Pagoda Lumbini - Medan - Medan Durian (Optional)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Today, we will visit Vihara Pagoda - Lumbini, the tallest golden pagoda in Indonesia and a replica of the second tallest Shwedagon Pagoda in Burma. It holds two record-breaking MURI records as the tallest pagoda in Indonesia and the second tallest replica abroad. Then, we will head to Medan City. Upon arrival, we will visit Maimun Palace, the grand palace of the Deli Sultanate, with its iconic yellow color (yellow is the color of the Malay royalty) and traditional Malay architecture. The palace was designed by an Italian architect and completed in 1888 during the reign of Sultan Mahmud Al Rasyid. You can also opt to wear traditional Malay royal costumes and take photos at the Maimoon Palace (optional - at your own expense). Next, we will visit Al-Mashun Grand Mosque, built in 1906. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After that, we will visit the Noerlen Edutainment Center, where you can see how passion fruit is processed into bottled drinks and learn about the production process. Then, we will visit Annai Velangkanni, a Catholic church with Indo-Mughal architecture, which has become an iconic attraction in Medan. You will also have the chance to visit Kaos Jegez, a local store selling products from North Sumatra. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. You can also opt to visit Medan Durian, famous for its delicious durian fruit (optional - at your own expense). Lastly, we will head back to the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 4: Medan - Tjong A Fie Mansion - Kualanamu Airport
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Today, we will visit Tjong A Fie Mansion, a legacy of a prominent figure in Medan who was known for his charitable works and contributions to the city's development, including the construction of Maimun Palace and various places of worship in Medan and its surrounding areas. You will also have the chance to shop for local snacks such as Medan Par Par, Bika Ambon, Durian Pancakes, and Bolu Gulung Meranti. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Lastly, we will head to Kualanamu Airport for your next destination.
